So I was at tennis this morning.....
KICKING HINEY I might add!!!
One of the ladies found out I am a distributor for Choffy,
(because I told her)
She is excited
to sample a cup next week.
Then she said, well, since you are into healthy stuff,
have you ever done Oil Pulling.
I said no,
sounds painful....go on.
It is the act of swishing coconut oil around in your mouth for 20 minutes,
kind of like mouth wash, but with lard.
Like I would ever be able to do that.....(with out throwing up).
She said she is a big fan, and it is very beneficial for the mouth and gums....
She perked my interest.
I decided to try to last 5 min....I set my timer....
I am now on minute 18... I have been swishing the whole time I have been
researching this Oil Pulling thing!
The more I dig and read, the longer I am motivated to pull!!
Here are the basic bennies:
The oil pulls toxins, bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeasts, plaque and more out of your mouth. You then spit the oil out (DO NOT SWALLOW) and rinse.
I actually made it the FULL 20 min.
After, I spit in the yard,
then flossed, and brushed.
My mouth feels amazing.
Just left the dentist feeling.
My teeth are white and sparkly....
I'm serious!
Maybe it is just in my mind, but I have a really good feeling
about this.
There are a ton of testimonials out there.
My lips are soft and silky, can't help but get a little oil on
those guys.
Good luck!!
Are you going to try this?
Coconut oil is a SUPER FOOD in its own right.
The fats in coconut oil help renew the lining
of the digestive tract,
assisting with good digestion. Regular consumption has been shown to
aide thyroid function and regulate metabolism and mood, as well as help bolster
your body against viruses and bacteria that can cause illness.

Coconut oil becomes clear when heated.
(ps – also works wonders on leather,
and is fantastic rubbed directly on skin and hair).

What is your favorite way to ingest, cook, or bake with the amazing coconut oil??

ON THE FLIP SIDE:
Something I definitely DON'T recommend.
Go do your oil pull right now!!
I really want to hear what you think.

Gah…Kevin is nutz!! What the heck? I actually forced myself to watch the whole ordeal. Looked painful. I suppose it was also manly, but geeeeez.
I HATE coconut - does it taste like coconut? I want a report after it has been a few days. Any strange side affects? I suppose I can try it. Don't you have to melt the coconut oil down or something?
HB
No strange side effects. I have swished for four days. The first time I did put it in the microwave to melt for just a few seconds....but really, when you put it in your mouth it takes about 5 seconds to liquify. I have no problem with it EXCEPT one concern.....that is the thought that I may be producing extra lip wrinkles in that 20 minutes of swishing....you know what I mean? Top lip, wrinkles. If it was not for this concern I would be 100% sold. It does not taste bad at all to me. Good luck : )
I can't believe you made me watch Kevin drill a hole in his thumb! AH! Must be a scout "man challenge." Poor man... it did look painful before and after!
Guess i will go grab me a spoonful of coconut oil and see what happens!
